Identity Crisis

Well, since you ask, my name is Kevin Glass. I was born in the year of our bakestone, 1905. I was brought up in the town of Cheltenham (UK). From there I went on to Cardiff University to study Computer Science. Somehow, I ended up with a degree and a job.

Home, home on the range

I currently live in Wales - with my wife, Cathy. Its a strange old place in which I feel generally uncomfortable all the time.

Working nine to five

When I left university I started work almost immediately for Lucent Technologies in Malmesbury. A bit later (read 4 years) a large bout of redundancy caught me and I took a job up in Cheltenham for a new small company called Edge IPK. Good fun! A couple of years or so later I realised that working for a small company just wasn't for me and I jumped ship and started work for BAE SYSTEMS in Filton, Bristol. BAE turned out to be a hive of scum and villiany, ok, maybe not, I just didn't enjoy it very much. So, 2 years later I moved over the bridge to a SIP oriented company called Ubiquity. Its been really great here but I've now been given an enormous opportunity to live in California... and now I'm back.

Hobbies

I spend alot of time on the computer, mostly programming but also playing the odd game. Java Gaming is my obsession of recent years, check out code and projects for some examples.

I also enjoy playing (killing) the guitar with the same old tunes I've played for many years. Learning new stuff really isn't for me. Recently I got back into painting Citidel minutures and even bought myself a new copy of Blood Bowl.

One day I want to write a commercial game, a good book and a big cheque to cash.
