There's a new version of Putty Puzzle up. It contains:

- Levels filled up to 36. Some might get swapped yet, was just nice to see the board full.
- 6 new level features to play with
- White putty is now transparent to help hint it might not be normal Smiley
- Some visual tweaks to add a little polish
- Bunch of bug fixes (probably introduced some too Smiley)

nice work Kev !!!!

First off, bravo on

First off, bravo on developing this. Incredible concept. I love puzzles, and this is definitely a fresh twist. I hope you'll continue to develop this and possibly have a level creator for other people to submit potential new levels for addition.

Second, a potential bug to report preventing me from completing "missing links" and "the end?". I link and hook the pieces, creating an ever farther reaching mixture of all the colors, and sometimes when I hook a piece around, to where it's touching the top and bottom of another color, it falls through the other color, and then the color it should have been balanced on falls through whatever it was attached to. In the case of those levels it results in the putty falling off screen. If you need more info email me and I'll take a screen shot.

Last, any hints on "stairway to heaven"? I've killed all the other levels (except those 2 above) and this one is the most devilish one of the bunch. I can't get anywhere. I've managed to get the green over to the lower white, and from there, I'm dead in the water.

Great game once again, hope to see it grow.

Kev: They're all possible honest. Stairway to heaven is all about learning which way to go round the level, and of course the first few moves are difficult to find. Thanks for the comments, I'm not sure where it's going at the moment.

I bet this would make a

I bet this would make a great Wii Ware game. Point and click to move about.

I'll keep trying to beat that one level, the other 2 got too frustrating when they'd all collapse through each other.

Ok, I can reproduce that one

Ok, I can reproduce that one now. I'll take a look. Cheers.

Hi, I've found a link to

Hi, I've found a link to your Putty Puzzle a few weeks ago. Very interesting idea--a few blocks, quite simple rules--and so much fun. Great work. :-)

But I have met some problems. Since two or three weeks the applet at putty3/applet2/putty.html has not been able to start. All I see is a white rectangle. I am using Firefox 2.0.0.14 on Ubuntu 7.10, by the way.

The applet at putty3/putty.html starts, but do not respond on left mouse button clicks--there is no morphing or merging. But the level editor works quite fine--with only two problems: the left click is not always recognized, and the double click must be performed with about half-second delay between clicks.

If you need more details, mail me.

Have you thought about maybe

Have you thought about maybe porting this game to the iPhone?
I think this would make a great portable game, and well suited to the iPhone's point and click interface.

With the upcoming launch of their app store, you could have a means of selling it, or giving it away for free. I'd definatly buy it!
